Pond-side observations

Topic: Water & hydrogen bonding

On a winter field trip and back in the lab, a class recorded six observations about water and wrote an explanation for each. Their teacher wants to check which explanations are chemically correct. For comparison, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), a molecule of similar size that barely hydrogen-bonds, boils at about −60 °C.

Each statement pairs an observation with an explanation. Select every statement whose explanation is correct.

Answer every part to submit.
