Mapping two beetle genes
In a flour beetle, black body (B) is dominant to brown (b) and long antennae (L) are dominant to short (l). A true-breeding black long-antennae beetle was crossed with a brown short-antennae beetle. The F1 females (BbLl) were then test-crossed to brown short-antennae males (bbll), and 1000 offspring were scored.
